Description:
Join Lisa Louis (of hikingautism.com) and family for a walk at the lovely Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. High tide or low, the tide pool area is a stone’s throw from the parking lot and has great views, whether close up at tide pools or at the horizon in the distance. We will take a walk (about 1 mile total) from the tide pool area over a small footbridge for a loop walk that goes through a pretty forest area and offers ocean views. Harbor seals are almost always visible at the bottom of the cliff from one view point. Bring binoculars or a camera. Most of this walk is dog-free, but there is a short stretch where dogs are allowed on leash, for those of us with dog-sensitive family members. Location: Fitzgerald Marine Reserve, 200 Nevada St., Moss Beach, CA 94038 Date/Time: Saturday, September 29, 2018, 10 AM to 12 noon Meeting Location: Fitzgerald Marine Reserve parking lot/visitor center: The parking lot is fairly large, and street parking is an option when the lot is full.
