Fitzgerald Marine Reserve parking lot/visitor center:
Join Lisa Louis (of hikingautism.com) and family for a walk at the lovely Fitzgerald Marine Reserve. High tide or low, the tide pool area is a stone’s throw from the parking lot and has great views, whether close up at tide pools or at the horizon in the distance.
We will take a walk (about 1 mile total) from the tide pool area over a small footbridge for a loop walk that goes through a pretty forest area and offers ocean views.
There will be an opportunity to spend time on the beach before making the return trip on the loop. There is a long set of stairs for this beach stop, but only a few short stairs for the tide pools/beach opportunity near the parking lot.
Harbor seals are almost always visible at the bottom of the cliff from one view point. Bring binoculars or a camera.
